Accounting Specialist

Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining control systems for cash flow, payroll, regulatory obligations, financial projections, and preparing financial statements.
  • Establish and monitor procedures for processing invoices, accounts receivables, account payables, cash handling, and related bookkeeping functions.
  • Establish and monitor procedures for timely payments of the business licenses, insurance fees, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare franchise fee monthly calculation reports and other reports as required.
  • Establish and monitor procedures for calculating commissions, payroll processing, and paycheck distribution.
  • Maintain master file copies of leases, vendor service contracts, and other business agreements.
  • Track progress of sales promotions, sales staff productivity, and produce revenue summaries as requested by the General Manager.
  • Develop, administer, and is accountable for the department’s operating budget.
  • Assist Student Services with student entry and exits as needed at local center.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as designated by the General Manager.

Position Qualifications

  • Computer literate and able to demonstrate proficiency in software applications required in the performance of job responsibilities.
  • Must possess experience with MS Excel and QuickBooks Online.
  • Must possess excellent leadership abilities; be able to consistently make intelligent decisions under pressure; possess good judgment, initiative, good job attitude and be dependable; possess excellent organizational abilities and be able to deal effectively with people; possess good analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines is essential.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are imperative.

Candidate must have an appreciation for teaching, learning and the ability and desire to keep up with current technologies. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching stated technical topics and industry certifications (non-expired) that relate to their current level of expertise.

Technical Trainer: CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ (additional CompTIA or MS Certifications a plus)
